Two new Mingus Audio plugins are ready for your DAW: SuperPress for clear, musical level control, and HiFi EQ for simple hi-fi style tone shaping on tracks, buses, or the master.
SuperPress
SuperPress is a mixing plugin built to control level in a straightforward way. It combines three musical EQ bands, a compressor with sidechain high-pass, Ranger (a floor/ceiling level window), color saturation, and a brickwall limiter — with level meters at each stage so you can see what the chain is doing.
Use it to tame peaks in a musical way or push toward super-loud tracks and mixes. ASK mode shows helpful hints when you hover over each section.
HiFi EQ
Mingus HiFi EQ is a three-band equalizer in the hi-fi tradition: Bass, Middle, and Treble, with a moderate range that keeps every move musical. Baxandall-style bands sit between high-pass and low-pass filters, with an output trim at the end.
Broad bands and gentle filters keep the sound natural, and a quiet interface keeps the focus on listening — so you shape tone by ear, not by chasing parameters.
Both plugins run on macOS 11+ (Intel and Apple Silicon) and Windows 10+ (64-bit), with VST3, Audio Units (macOS), AAX (Pro Tools), and CLAP support.
