Mingus VerbBands is a frequency-shaped reverb from Mingus Audio: twelve bands from 40 Hz to 16 kHz feed a shared stereo engine, so you can shape which frequencies excite the reverb tail.
Instead of applying EQ to a reverb as conventional reverbs do, Verbbands applies reverb to specific bands of the range. You keep the space you want and leave out mud, harshness, or fatigue from too much tail in the wrong places.
Plus the reverb sounds warm and musical. No, we won’t call “analog” a digital effect 🙂 but it does sound warm, it kind of skips that harshness digital reverbs usually have on the higher range.
Pre-Delay, Size, Decay, and Mix can be set per band, for more control.
Verbands features five reverb types types: Plate, Spring, Hall, Room, and Shimmer.
Dance, a tempo-synced modulator can run globally or per band as well, creating cool sounding movement in the reverb.
